Solar eruption in the West of the Sun August 4 2012

A wave of fire is sweeping the surface of the Sun. This video showcases a very pretty solar flare to West of the Sun, on August 4, 2012. It does not seem to have produced a coronal mass ejection (CME), and it will have no effect on the Earth. These images are from NASA, and were taken from the instrument AIA of the satellite SDO (Solar Dynamic Observatory), with a wavelength of 304 Angstroms.
