I Am Not A Monster Ariel Castro Tells Court
Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro admitted at a court hearing on Thursday that he was a sick man, but said he is not the monster described by prosecutors. Convicted Cleveland kidnapper, Ariel Castro, delivered a rambling statement to the court during his sentencing hearing. Castro is expected to be sentenced to life in prison, plus 1,000 years. He said he makes no excuses for his behavior, which he said was "wrong." Castro pleaded guilty to 937 criminal charges including kidnapping and rape of three women, kidnapping of a 6-year-old girl he fathered in captivity with one of the women, and murder for forcing one of the women to abort during a pregnancy.
