The fiery red head who is forever memorialized in Miracle on 34th Street and is remembered in John Wayne films passed away peacefully in her Idaho home. She was surrounded by her family as they listened to music from her favorite movie Quiet Man. The actress’s 62 year movie career earned her an honorary Academy Award for her lifetime of work. Her family said Maureen’s characters were feisty and fearless, just as she was in real life.
