There's An Asteroid Named After Freddie Mercury

According to Queen guitarist Brian May, an asteroid that follow's Jupiter's orbit has been named after Freddie Mercury in honor of his 70th birthday. The asteroid was discovered in 1991, the year of Mercury's death, and has now been named as 'Asteroid 17473 Freddiemercury.' May says the asteroid is "just a dot of light, but it's a very special dot of light." and recognizes all of Mercury's musical and performing talents.
