NASA diffuses image of 'space snowman' in the asteroid Vesta
by Noti.Mexico
NASA, released an image taken by the space probe Dawn of what appears to be a snowman on one side of the asteroid Vesta. However, there are three impacts on the surface of the brightest giant asteroid of all, the only one visible to the naked eye. The image captured by the probe that aims to study the asteroid and the dwarf planet Ceres, both in the asteroid belt, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, shows the impacts on top of each other, which forms the figure of a snowman. The largest circle is located at the bottom, while the smaller one is at the top, the US space agency published on its Twitter account. The snapshot was taken on August 20, 2011, through the clear filter of the Dawn spacecraft camera.
