River exploded to break ice in northeast #China

Parts of the section of the Heilongjiang River in Mohe County of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province were exploded to break the ice on Wednesday, in an effort to prevent possible flooding. Local authorities arranged people to place explosives at more than 20 sites that had witnessed ice dams in the past four days. As it gets warmer and warmer, the river will start thawing soon, making it necessary to clear ice blockages. Icefalls were immediately triggered in the explosion, standing more than a dozen meters high and presenting amazing pictures.
