Close the Eiffel Tower by labor dispute

The Eiffel Tower, considered the most visited monument in the world, today closed its doors due to the labor conflict between the administration and the workers who manage the access lines of the Parisian icon. According to spokespersons of the exploitation society of the Eiffel Tower, the elevators that lead to the two floors of the monument stopped working after 4:00 pm local time. These same sources did not estimate when they will come back into operation. They also do not know how many visitors were left without being able to enter, although it is known that, on average, some 25,000 people enter the symbolic tower every day during the month of August. The labor dispute between the administration and the workers, who complain that the new reservation system exacerbates the wait, was brewing days ago. The unions even presented a strike notice this week while negotiating a last-minute exit with the management, but the talks were suspended momentarily, according to the SETE, and the strike was called unexpectedly. This is not the first time that the so-called "Iron Lady" closes its doors to tourists. It was closed for several days in April for a staff strike.
