Donald Trump Reiterates Warning Of Possible Emergency Declaration For Border Security
by Trumpita
According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, US President Donald Trump reiterated that he may declare a national emergency if Congress fails to approve funding for construction of a US/Mexico border wall. Trump was reportedly headed to McAllen, Texas on the Mexican border in an attempt to rally support for the border wall following another acrimonious meeting with Democratic leaders. Reuters reports that hundreds of thousands of federal employees are either working without pay or on forced furlough due to the partial government shutdown, which will be the longest in US history if still underway on Saturday.
