'Fireball' crosses the sky over the English Channel

A mysterious object crossed the sky over the south of England (United Kingdom) on September 8. The authorities of Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall suggested that it was a plane crash and began the search for the remains of the device, but soon realized they were in error. For their part, researchers from the British Meteor Observation Network (UKMON) say it was a luminous meteor.
