Shelley Malil Convicted Of Attempted Murder

"Actor Shelley Malil was found guilty and convicted of attempted murder yesterday for the stabbing of girlfriend Kendra Beebe, mother of two children. According to reports, he stabbed Beebe 23 times in 2008, after coming home and finding her with another man. However, he claimed the stabbing was unintentional saying, he went to her home and found her with another man, whom he thought was going to casue some sort of harm to him, so he pulled out a knife and started stabbing. The story begs the question, why would he have a knife on him. Prosecutors argued that the attack was premeditated and Malil waited for Kendra to return home ""in the dark"" and attack her. She ended up with a collapsed lung and her chin was mutilated. Malil is now awaiting sentencing and could end up with anywhere between 16 years in prison to life. Malil is most popular for his role as a retail employee and salesman in the ""40 Year Old Virgin."""
