Man remains trapped under rubble after an earthquake in Albania

This man was buried under the rubble of a building in the city of Durres that collapsed due to the earthquake that hit Albania on November 25. A video recorded by BalkanWeb shows how a rescuer gives him a bottle of water to prevent him from becoming dehydrated. The number of fatalities that caused this earthquake amounted to 40 people, while more than 650 people were injured. Rescue teams with special equipment, tracking dogs and emergency supplies from different European countries have arrived in Albania to help the victims. Albanian authorities continue search operations in Durres, where they found three bodies on the night of November 27. However, in the city of Thumane they interrupted their work because they do not estimate that there are more people buried under fallen buildings after finding six bodies that same night.
