Alaska earthquake: Tsunami warning after massive 7.8 magnitude tremor hits off coast

A tsunami warning has been issued after a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Alaska peninsula. The US Geological Survey said the 7.8 magnitude quake struck at a depth of six miles. The tremor was centred off the coast, 60 miles south-south-east of the area of Perryville, it added. The tsunami warning has been issued for southern Alaska, the Alaska peninsula and the Aleutian Islands.
