Teachers in Los Angeles reach tentative agreement to hold virtual classes from their homes

"We are not ready to return to the classroom and it would be too dangerous for our students, teachers and families," said one of the teachers. Educators had threatened a temporary strike on the eve of the school year that begins in the third week of August in California because the district had required them to go into classrooms to teach.
