Destroyed homes and fallen trees: Holly Beach, the village where Hurricane Laura made landfall

The small population, which has less than 100 homes, was totally devastated by the passage of the system. There are streets full of rubble, wrecked vehicles and power lines hanging in the water. The inhabitants of the town had evacuated before the phenomenon arrived, which is why there are no recorded deaths so far; however, it is not known when they will be able to return to recover what little they have left.
