China denies inciting brand boycott over Xinjiang issue

The Chinese government has ruled out its involvement in the boycott of several multinational clothing brands after the companies that own them said they will stop using Chinese cotton in their factories because of alleged oppression of the ethnic Uighur Muslim minority in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
