#VIRAL: Woman With Extremely Deep Voice Gets Trolled Online

Charlotte MacGregor is a 22-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, told TikTok how she managed to overcome years of bullying and began to come to terms with her peculiar tone of voice. Before she turned 12, Charlotte led a completely normal life, but from that age she quickly became the main target of daily taunts and criticism from bullies because of her tone of voice. Charlotte recounted that she came to hear comments such as, "Your tone of voice is deeper than my father's," "Your voice is disgusting, who would want to go near that?" among others. I would say 14, 15 and 16 were the worst years of my life," the young woman confessed to Daily Mail Australia, referring to the "hell" of going to school to hear her being called "man" or "transgender" on a daily basis. Doctors treating her case at the time were perplexed and told her that the severity of her voice was likely caused by a benign, non-cancerous nodule growing on her vocal cords, but she has never been given a definitive diagnosis. Charlotte's life improved in 2018, when she met the man who is now her fiancé, who helped her realize her worth and slowly accept herself as she was. Now I feel like I have this voice for a reason, to share my story and help other people who feel differently in some way to be more confident," she said. Since the young woman shared her story on TikTok, women from all over the world have contacted her to tell them they are going through the same thing. To date, her video has more than 6 million views on the social network since the first video was uploaded on June 2.
