Indian satellite launch fails due to 'technical anomaly'

The launch of an Indian rocket carrying a powerful Earth observation satellite failed this August 12. "The performance of the first and second stages was normal. However, the ignition of the cryogenic stage did not take place due to a technical anomaly," the Indian Space Research Organization reported.
