The Government of Mexico boasted this Tuesday "a sustained reduction" of the Covid-19 pandemic with a record of only 23 cases, corresponding to the Omicron variant, so it will celebrate Christmas without major restrictions, while other regions of the world are facing severe closures. Although in the United States more than 70 % of the Covid-19 cases are already of Omicron, the Mexican Government has only confirmed 23 people infected with this variant since December 3, informed Hugo Lopez-Gatell, in charge of the pandemic in the country.
