The F-35C Lightning II stealth fighter, worth a whopping $100 million, crashed into the deck of an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea, with the US Navy confirming that the chaotic scenes filmed had been captured aboard the Carl Vinson supercarrier. Seven US Navy personnel were injured in the crash, including the pilot, who ejected mid-crash. An investigation has been launched.
