Shelling of strategic points throughout Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched a military strike against Ukraine, with shelling at strategic points across the country. Putin announced a "special military operation" in the Donbas early Thursday morning. In a televised message, he urged the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms and issued a warning to the world: "Whoever tries to interfere and, even more, whoever tries to create threats to our country and our people, let them know that Russia will respond immediately with consequences they have never seen in history."
