#VIDEO: Explosion lights up the sky of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine

Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Yevhen Yenin attributed an explosion early Friday over the capital, Kyiv (local time), to a "Ukrainian anti-missile system firing at a (Russian) missile from the sky." CNN has not been able to independently verify this. Early Friday morning, CNN reporters on the ground in Kyiv reported hearing several loud explosions. Separately, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the head of Ukraine's Interior Ministry, said Friday that Kyiv had been attacked by "cruise or ballistic missiles."
