Thousands fleeing war in Ukraine

Thousands of Ukrainians are fleeing the country because of the war. It is estimated that there are already half a million refugees and that the number may rise to as many as 7 million. Meanwhile, cars are piling up at the Polish border. Border guards say that more than 90% of those crossing the border are going to stay with friends or relatives, but that there are also reception centers. Poland was already hosting more than 1.5 million Ukrainians before the war began, and many people have mobilized to provide food and water to those in need.
