Putin orders first mobilisation since WWII while leaders condemn Russia’s Ukraine invasion at UN

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his country’s first mobilisation since World War II on September 21, 2022, warning that if the West continues what he called its “nuclear blackmail”, Moscow would respond with all of its vast arsenal. It came a day after global leaders condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine at the UN General Assembly.
