#VIRAL - Terror in the deep: diver bitten by a fish with human teeth

Alex Pikul, from Alabama, USA, was with seven other divers off the coast of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Everything was going normally when the group, led by Maira (owner of Mar Hosted Trips) had to change course due to a strong current. But this detour resulted in the group ending up swimming over a nest of eggs and a male triggerfish appeared on the scene. This species of aquatic animal, found in tropical and subtropical waters, is named for its aggressive and protective nature towards its young, and this was no exception. The fish began to chase them in defense of its species until it chased away the group of divers, however, it came back towards one of them, who had shorts on and bit him on the right leg. "I thought I was safe because the triggerfish swam away, so I turned around and swam away following the rest of the group, but suddenly it bit my leg," said Alex Pikul in an interview with The Sun.
