DPRK leader calls on the country to be prepared for a nuclear attack.

DPRK leader Kim Jong Un has called on the country to be ready to carry out nuclear strikes at any time, while accusing the U.S. and ROK of expanding joint military exercises involving U.S. nuclear assets. The country's state media said Monday that "the current situation urgently requires the DPRK to exponentially strengthen its nuclear war deterrence." The country conducted several short-range ballistic missile test launches off the east coast over the weekend in response to the joint military exercises being conducted by the United States and the Republic of Korea, the largest by the two countries in recent years. Pyongyang has reacted strongly against the combined drills, calling them an invasion rehearsal against it. #US
