#OMG: Tragedy in Teotihuacan: "They hugged her before jumping": this is how Regina and her parents said good-bye to her

On the afternoon of April 2, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico reported that the pilot of the hot air balloon that caught fire last weekend while flying over the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan, north of the Mexican capital, was located in a hospital. The accident claimed the lives of two people and left a minor injured. The minor is 13-year-old Regina, who suffered polytraumatism, proximal fracture of the right humerus and second-degree burns on 4 percent of her body surface. The deceased were identified as Jose Edgar Nolasco, 50, and his wife and Regina's mother, Viridiana Becerril, 39. Reyna Castillo, Regina's grandmother, detailed the moment when her daughter Viridiana and the minor decided to jump from the balloon basket. She said that when they saw the gas tank start to ignite and the fire started to spread, the parents and the child hugged each other, and in a matter of seconds Regina and Viridiana jumped into the void.
