Red Bull used Checo Perez as a guinea pig after seeing him lost in Monaco, says former F1 driver
by Noti.Mexico
Checo Perez lived one of his worst races in Formula 1 last weekend during the Monaco Grand Prix, finishing in 16th position due to the crash he suffered during Qualy on Saturday that forced him to start in 20th place on the grid. According to former F1 driver Martin Brundle, during the race Checo Perez acted as a "guinea pig" for Red Bull because he had no chance to score points, so they decided to do some testing. "There were still 24 laps to go on a surprisingly wet track, so much so that Checo Perez was now completely wet, as Red Bull used him as a guinea pig because he was out of points," Brundle told Sky Sports F1.
