US federal jury indicts airman for allegedly leaking top-secret intelligence on messaging app

A US federal grand jury has indicted airman Jack Douglas Teixeira on six counts of leaking classified intelligence online, the US Justice Department said in a statement on June 15, 2023. The 21-year-old was indicted on wilful retention and transmission of classified information relating to national defence. He was arrested in April after allegedly posting highly classified military intelligence on the messaging app Discord.
