Viral in India: Social media content creators fuel Islamophobia with staged videos

Indian social media platforms have become home to staged videos that spread hatred and disinformation about the Muslim community. Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014, there has been a rise in Hindu nationalism and social media experts say platform loopholes are fuelling negative sentiments towards the over 200 million Muslims living in India.
