The incident occurred this Friday afternoon, during a heavy rain that hit the region. The intense rain, which lasted approximately one hour, caused several rivers to increase their flow, affecting both neighborhoods and roads in the area. One of the overflowing streams swept away Jesús Núñez as he was crossing the street on foot in the Indeco neighborhood. According to a police report, the man was rescued meters ahead by authorities who responded quickly to the emergency. Despite the lack of a preliminary report on the damage, unofficial sources estimate that dozens of neighborhoods in the city suffered damage due to the overflowing of streams, resulting in the interruption of vehicular traffic.
