Egypt confirms four Israeli bombardments of Gaza crossing, which remains closed
by NewsN
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri confirmed today that since the beginning of the conflict last October 7, Israel has bombed four times the Rafah border crossing, which connects the Gaza Strip with the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula, and which remains without permission from the Jewish state for the entry of humanitarian aid and exit of citizens. "The crossing has been subjected to four aerial bombardments by the Israeli side and is therefore not functioning normally. Moreover, the crossing has never been officially closed by Egypt," Shukri said in an interview on the BBC radio station, reproduced by the Foreign Ministry, although he said that Israel still does not give permission for its opening on the Palestinian side.
