Over 100 trucks ready to move aid into besieged Gaza

Over 100 trucks have been stationed in Egypt near the border with Gaza, waiting for the final go-ahead to deliver desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinians on the other side. US officials said on October 18, 2023, that up to 20 aid trucks would pass through the Rafah crossing to Gaza City, after US President Joe Biden struck a deal to allow for the deliveries during his recent trip to Israel. The World Health Organization has urged Israeli officials to allow even more aid trucks into the area.
