Warriors of Tokyo’s post-Halloween waste land

Volunteer trash collectors in Tokyo, known as Gomihiroi Samurai or trash samurai, are using their artistic skills to combat littering. Their efforts over the years have attracted a fan base of nearly 800,000 on TikTok. One of the volunteers is actor Keisuke Naka, who dreams of making samurai trash-picking a full-time profession, as part of his efforts to contribute to a better world.
