The Rosca itself symbolizes the kings' crown. Inside the Rosca de Reyes, a small figurine, known as a 'monito' or 'muñeco,' is hidden. When the Rosca de Reyes is cut during the celebration, the person who finds the figurine in their portion takes on the responsibility of organizing a celebration known as 'La Candelaria' or 'Candlemas' on February 2nd.
