Fight Night Smack Down At High School Basketball Game

A parent is under arrest after getting into a fight with a School Resource Officer at a basketball game Friday night. It happened at the Butler vs. East Meck game. A fight broke out between a Butler player's father and the officer. Then the man's wife jumped in, along with their daughter, and began hitting the officer in the head. NewsChannel 36 has been told the argument started when the resource officer asked the man's daughter to move from the East Meck side of the gym back to the Butler side. It's a common practice that students from different schools sit separately at high school games. The father got angry and then got into an argument with the Student Resource Officer. The father was arrested. NewsChannel 36 has been told more arrests are possible. No one was seriously hurt in the incident. Category:
