Supreme Court overturns ban on violent games
http://www.nma.tv/ Increasingly graphic and violent video games are popular entertainment for kids, leading opponents to worry about their influence on young minds. A California law prevented those under the age of 18 from purchasing violent video games. However, the Supreme Court recently struck down California's law by 7-2. Justice Antonin Scalia delivered the majority opinion. The law, he said, does not comport with the First Amendment, which guarantees free speech. He added that there was no tradition of shielding children from violent content in the US. However, the US government will continue shielding children from sexual content.
